Ohio is one of 15 states selected in April 2011 by the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to participate in an integrated service delivery and payment demonstration for dual eligibles. Additional details about the coming changes to Ohio’s HCBS system were described by the Unified Long-Term Services and Support Medicaid Waiver Concept Paper, which was released January 20, 2012, and in testimony given February 21, 2012, by Ohio Medicaid Director John McCarthy to the Legislative Committee for Unified Long-Term Services and Supports.
