Michigan Medicaid State Plan Amendment MI-22-1501 To Update Opioid Health Homes

On October 26, 2022, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) approved Michigan's Medicaid state plan amendment (SPA MI-22-1501) to expand its Opioid Health Homes (OHH) to two new regions and more counties in an existing region. The OHH in each region are overseen by the regional behavioral health prepaid inpatient health plan (PIHP). Michigan Medicaid is expanding its OHH initiative into PIHP Regions 5 and 8 as well as to Barry, Berrien, Branch, Cass, St. Joseph and Van Buren counties in PIHP Region 4.
