Florida Department of Corrections Chose Corizon and Wexford Health Sources to Provide Prison Health Care Services

On April 4, 2012, Florida Department of Corrections announced it had chosen Corizon and Wexford Health Sources to provide inmate health care services. The states selection comes after Corizon submitted a $230 million per year plan for northern and central Florida, and Wexford submitted a $48 million a year plan for South Florida. The state's inmate health care system currently costs more than $400 million annually.
