Colorado’s Johnstown Heights Behavioral Health Gets 2nd Immediate Jeopardy Citation In Less Than A Year
Johnstown Heights Behavioral Health, an inpatient treatment facility in Johnstown, Colorado has received its second "immediate jeopardy" designation since November 2022. This is the state's most serious for a mental health hospital. State inspectors began an investigation in April 2023 after receiving complaints. The investigation report cited failure to keep the facility residents safe.
The facility has 92 beds and is located on a 10-acre campus. It provides inpatient treatment for adults with emotional and behavioral health problems, substance use disorder, or both (dual diagnosis). The facility is in the process of adding outpatient programming.
