UNC-Chapel Hill Center Launches New Eating Disorder Screening Tool
The UNC School of Medicine’s National Center of Excellence for Eating Disorders (NCEED) released a new tool designed to help primary care professionals screen consumers for eating disorders. The Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment for Eating Disorders (SBIRT-ED) tool is evidence-based, easy to administer, and free. When individuals screen as positive for a possible eating disorder with the tool, health care professionals can use the tool’s conversation guides and resources to address next steps. ;
The UNC’s NCEED staff will offer trainings for primary care physicians and their staff on implementation for SBIRT . . .
