Washington Medicaid State Plan Amendment (SPA) #23-001 To Implement Mobile Crisis Services

On October 10, 2023, Washington state published state plan amendment (SPA) number 23-001 to implement mobile crisis behavioral health services under the model in the 2021 American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). The ARPA crisis intervention model requires a multidisciplinary mobile crisis team to provide Medicaid-covered services to enrollees experiencing a mental health or addiction disorder crisis outside a hospital or other facility setting.
