Data Points #11: Newly Medicare-Eligible Disabled: Comparison Of Duals And Nonduals

The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality has released a data point on Medicare-eligible disabled individuals comparing dual eligibles and nondual eligibles. the report found that beneficiaries who qualify for some assistance but not full Medicaid benefits are particularly high users of Medicare services. Partial duals had the highest rates of hospitalization and use of hospital outpatient services.
