On June 27, 2012, Behavioral Health Information Technology Act of 2012 (H.R. 6043) was introduced. This bill will extend health information technology assistance eligibility to behavioral health, mental health, and substance abuse professionals and facilities. This bill will ensure $20 billion in funding for health information technology for mental health facilities.
