Opinion: Coalition On Homelessness, et al v. City & County Of San Francisco
On January 10, 2023, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit published this opinion in the case of Coalition On Homelessness, et al v. City & County Of San Francisco. The opinion upholds a preliminary injunction issued in December 2022 that bars San Francisco from enforcing its "sit/lie/sleep" or "anti-camping" ordinances against "involuntary homeless individuals" while there is a shortage of shelter beds.
