CMS To Award $50 Million In Planning Grants To 20 States To Develop, Implement & Expand School-Based Health Services
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced $50 million in planning grants to be awarded to up to 20 states to support school-based health services for children enrolled in Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). Each selected state can receive up to $2.5 million to develop, implement, and expand school-based health services, with an emphasis on mental health services. State applications are due March 25, 2024, with awards to be announced during the summer.
