University of Rochester Medical Center Places Telehealth Kiosks In Rural New York Bank Branches

The University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC) partnered with Five Star Bank to place Higi health stations at certain rural bank locations in Upstate New York. The stations allow users to measure and track health indicators, including blood pressure and weight. Users can schedule in-person visits and connect for virtual visits with a URMC clinical professional.

Currently URMC has placed the Higi stations in three Five Star Bank branch locations in New York’s Steuben and Seneca counties. URMC operates Strong Memorial Hospital, an 886-bed teaching hospital in Rochester.
