2012 CMS Nursing Home Action Plan

July 6, 2012
On July 6, 2012, the United States Department of Health and Human Services along with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released a letter to state survey agency directors regarding the nursing home action plan for 2012. The plan was broken into five categories of action. The action plan has three objectives; improving the individual experience of care; improving the health of populations; and reducing the per capita cost of care for populations.
