The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services have released a comparison of April 2010 projects and June 2012 projections for 2019 national health expenditures. The report identifies major factors underlying the lower projected health spending levels and growth rates expected by 2019. The June 2012 projections estimate national health spending will be $509 billion lower than what was projected in 2010.
