CMS Letter To State Medicaid Directors # 12-002 Regarding Policy Considerations for Integrated Care Models

On July 10, 2012, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released a letter to state Medicaid directors regarding integrated care models (ICMs). The letter was the second in a series of letters to state Medicaid directors providing them with guidance on designing and implementing care delivery and payment reforms. This guidance letter described policy considerations and relevant statutory authorities for implementing ICMs.
