In the proposed rule, on display in the Federal Register July 11, the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) proposes to update and make revisions to the End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) prospective payment system for calendar year 2013. This rule also proposes to set forth requirements for the ESRD quality incentive program, including for payment year 2015 and beyond. CMS will accept comments on the proposed rule until August 31, 2012.
