Texas State FQHC Incubator Expected to Award $40 Million In 2024 

The Texas legislature appropriated $40 million to the Department of State Health Services’ Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) Incubator Program. The department will award funds during 2024 to existing FQHCs, FQHC look-alikes, and non-profit health centers wanting to become FQHC look-alikes.

The move follows an initial round of funding in 2022-2023. The incubator program previously awarded $19.3 million in grants to 35 entities in communities across the state.
