Meridian Health Plan Of Illinois Offers Hospitals Incentives To Achieve Joint Commission Equity Certification 

Medicaid managed care organization Meridian Health Plan of Illinois (a unit of Centene) is offering its in-network hospitals an incentive to complete the Health Care Equity (HCE) Certification program offered by The Joint Commission. For the incentive, Meridian will reimburse a portion of the certification fee and the annual application fee.

Meridian said it is actively encouraging participation in the HCE Certification, as part of efforts to ensure in-network hospitals formalize structures, processes, and goals for identifying and addressing health care disparities in the communities they serve.;
