North Carolina Launches ‘Inclusion Connects’ Initiative To Further Support People With I/DD
North Carolina’s Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) launched "Inclusion Connects," an initiative designed to better connect people with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) and their families with community-based services. The Inclusion Connects website aims to offer information about how to receive services such as community living support, supported employment, and respite care for those currently on the Innovations Waiver Waitlist.
Currently more than 17,000 people are on the waiver wait list. About 39% of those on the wait list are receiving state plan services while they wait.
