CarelonRx Acquiring Kroger’s Specialty Pharmacy Business 

CarelonRx, a unit of Elevance Health, is set to acquire the specialty pharmacy business of grocery operator, The Kroger Co. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The acquisition, which is subject to regulatory approval, is expected to close in the second half of 2024.  

Kroger Specialty Pharmacy serves consumers with chronic illnesses that require complex care, including;rheumatoid arthritis, growth hormone deficiencies, multiple sclerosis, and bleeding disorders. It is separate from other Kroger Family of Pharmacies, including in-store retail pharmacies and The Little Clinics.;
