Indiana Administrative Code 460 IAC 6-3-47 Residential Living Allowance

According to the Indiana Administrative Code, the residential living allowance (RLA) is intended to cover actual room and board costs for Medicaid waiver beneficiaries living in the community. The allowable RLA expenses were rent, utilities, telephone line charges, and property insurance. The section relevant to RLA defines Residential living allowance" to mean funds authorized by the Bureau of Developmental Disabilities Services to cover the actual costs of room and board expenses as authorized in the individual's independent community living budget.
