Dykes v. Dudek Settlement Agreement

On July 3, 2012, the Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities (ADP) and the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) settled the Dykes v. Dudek lawsuit, which was filed in March 2011 on behalf of 21,000 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (DD) who were on the waitlist for DD Medicaid Waiver services. Many of the plaintiffs had been on the waitlist for over five years. The lawsuit aimed to compel Florida to design and implement a comprehensive plan for individuals waiting for DD Waiver services.
