Pennsylvania Department Of Public Welfare Stakeholder Letter About Behavior Specialist Licensure

August 17, 2012
On May 26, 2012, the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare released a letter to stakeholders regarding licensure of behavior specialists. The State Board of Medicine promoted regulations to allow for this licensure. Behavior specialists are required to be licensed by May 26, 2013 in order to bill private insurance or medical assistance.
