Medicaid: States’ Use of Managed Care (GAO-12-872R)

In August 2012, the United States Government Accountability Office (GAO) released a report for Congress describing states’ use of Medicaid managed care, including the type of managed care arrangements they have in place, and their enrollment of populations with complex health care needs, in advance of implementation of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) of 2010.
