New Jersey Awards $3.6 Million For Crisis Diversion Homes For Adults With SMI

The New Jersey Department of Human Services (DHS) awarded $3.6 million in contracts to two organizations to develop crisis diversion homes to provide temporary housing for adults with serious mental illness (SMI). DHS awarded $1.2 million to the Center for Family Services in Warren County and $1.2 million per home to Legacy Treatment Services for two homes, one in Mercer county and one in Gloucester county. The contracts began in March 2024 and will run through September 30, 2025.
