On May 8, 2024, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Administration for Comunity Living (ACL) published this final rule regarding adult protective services (APS) functions and grants programs. This Final Rule modifies the implementing regulations of the Older Americans Act of 1965 (OAA) to add a new subpart (Subpart D) related to Adult Protective Services (APS). This final rule requires the State entity to establish written policies and procedures in areas of significant APS practice and establishes minimum Federal standards above and beyond which States may impose additional requirements on their APS systems . . .
