Rhode Island’s Lifespan Health System Launches Walk-In Addiction Treatment  

Rhode Island health system operator Lifespan Health System is now offering walk-in addiction treatment appointments. Its new Addiction Care Today (ACT) unit is located at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence.;

ACT will offer walk-in and same day appointments for people who want to begin addiction treatment. Its services will include medications, counseling, and other supports.;;;

According to Lifespan, ACT will offer outpatient management of withdrawal symptoms, harm reduction services, referrals to peer support, referrals to long term addiction care, assessment of psychosocial needs, and referrals to behavioral health care and social services.
