Centene Foundation Partners with Affordable Housing Developer To Build Units In Eight States  

Centene’s philanthropic arm, the Centene Foundation, is partnering with affordable housing developer McCormack Baron Salazar;(MBS) to construct affordable housing in eight states. The Foundation agreed to provide below market-rate loans to support MBS' predevelopment design and planning work toward the construction of affordable housing in distressed and underserved communities. ;

The loans are expected to enable about $900 million;in planning activity and construction. The partnership aims to address a lack of affordable housing impacting vulnerable populations. Affordable housing availability is a key driver of health equity and positive health outcomes. ;
