Blind Spot: Unidentified Risks to Children’’s Mental Health

The Center for Children's Advocacy has released a report on the unidentified risks to children's mental health. The report cited that each year about one in five children in Connecticut struggle with a mental health condition or substance abuse problem, and over half don't receive treatment. Data was drawn from public school records to identify risk factors that threaten the mental health of children and adolescents. The report included recommendations for improving the access and availability of mental health services to children and adolescents.
