New York Medicaid Notice To Managed Long-Term Care Plans Regarding Mandatory Enrollments

On September 20, 2012, the New York Department of Health (DOH) released a letter to managed long-term care plans regarding mandatory enrollment. DOH received approval to require certain Medicaid consumers to enroll in managed long-term care plans. Any consumers between the ages of 18 and 20 who meet the nursing home level of care criteria and require over 120 hours of community-based long-term care services may voluntarily enroll in managed long-term care plans.
