California’s San Luis Obispo County Opens Sobering Center
San Luis Obispo County, California, opened a new Sobering Center at the County’s Health Agency campus in San Luis Obispo. The facility provides a safe space for intoxicated adult community members to recover from the effects of alcohol and drugs.
The facility is a joint project among the San Luis Obispo Behavioral Health Department, CenCal Health and Good Samaritan. It includes 12 beds and offers 24-hour services to adult community members in need, providing medical supervision, counseling, and referral to ongoing treatment and support services.
