Health technology and care enablement system Fabric acquired MeMD from Walmart. MeMD provides virtual behavioral, urgent, and primary care benefits for 30,000 corporate, institutional, and health plan partners and 5 million members.;
MeMD offers around-the-clock care, and was founded in 2010. It was acquired by Walmart in 2021, and has grown significantly in recent years. ;
Fabric said the acquisition builds upon MeMD's previous technology partnership with Fabric to streamline patient intake and documentation. The acquisition expands Fabric's employer and payer solutions. It also advances the company's behavioral health strategy. ;
