Minnesota’s HealthPartners Leaving UnitedHealthcare’s Medicare Advantage Network  

HealthPartners, which operates hospitals and clinics in Minnesota, said it will no longer be in-network for UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage plans in 2025. HealthPartners said UnitedHealthcare’s rate of coverage denials was high, and that it frequently delayed payments for services used by seniors.;

The health system sent a letter about the change to about 30,000 consumers in Minnesota during July.  According to HealthPartners, the delays from UnitedHealthcare created unnecessary difficulties for consumers that interfered with care.  

UnitedHealthcare refuted HealthPartners' allegations. A UnitedHealthcare spokesperson said;the company was in negotiations with HealthPartners earlier this year and offered . . .
