Minnesota’s HealthPartners Leaving UnitedHealthcare’s Medicare Advantage Network
HealthPartners, which operates hospitals and clinics in Minnesota, said it will no longer be in-network for UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage plans in 2025. HealthPartners said UnitedHealthcare’s rate of coverage denials was high, and that it frequently delayed payments for services used by seniors.;
The health system sent a letter about the change to about 30,000 consumers in Minnesota during July. According to HealthPartners, the delays from UnitedHealthcare created unnecessary difficulties for consumers that interfered with care.
