CMS State Health Official Letter 24-004 RE: Provision Of Medicaid & CHIP Services To Incarcerated Youth
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released the letter to state health officials on July 23, 2024. It explains provisions of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2023 (CAA), that affect the availability of certain Medicaid state plan services for incarcerated youth in Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP).
