Meridian Health Plan Of Illinois Awards $857,500 In Grants To Community Organizations
Medicaid managed care organization Meridian Health Plan of Illinois, a unit of Centene, awarded Health Happens Here Grants totaling $857,500 during the first half of 2024. The grants, which went to 14 Illinois organizations, offer funds to close care gaps and address health-related social needs of Meridian members and the community.
Grantees include organizations throughout the state. Grants ranging in size from $500 to $175,000 were funded to address maternal health, mammography, academic and social-emotional support for children, programs to aid the homeless, and several other areas.
