Organizations Partner To Expand Behavioral Health Care In East Texas 

The University of Texas (UT) at Tyler is partnering with UT Health East Texas and Oceans Healthcare to expand behavioral health care in East Texas. The plan includes operating facilities in Tyler and Longview, Texas.;

The facilities will operate under the name UT Health East Texas Behavioral Health. They will expand access to inpatient and outpatient care for those experiencing mental health challenges and co-occurring substance use disorders. Smith County, Texas, agreed to provide $4 million for the initiative as part of its projects supported by American Rescue Plan Act funding.;
