In October 2012, The American Hospital Association (AHA) and Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) released a final report containing a series of quantitative analyses of a number of episode-based payment bundles. Under Section 3023 of the Affordable Care Act, Medicare payment bundles are to be implemented in a national pilot beginning in January 2013.
