UnitedHealthcare Invests $1.5 Million To Expand School-Based Health Care Services In Iowa
UnitedHealthcare Community partnered with the state of Iowa to improve mental health care access for children. For this partnership, UnitedHealthcare provided $1.5 million to Hazel Health, a telehealth provider that focuses on school-based solutions.
Hazel Health used the funding to acquire resources to partner with school systems and build the technological infrastructure required to bring quality mental health services to school-age children ranging from kindergarten through high school. By August 2024, Hazel Health anticipated launching services in Des Moines, Council Bluffs and Cedar Rapids.
Hazel Health expects its services to be available to about 100,000 elementary . . .
