Sebelius Letter To State Governors Extending Deadline For Health Insurance Exchange Blueprint – November 9, 2012

November 9, 2012
On November 9, 2012, the Secretary of Health and Human Services, Kathleen Sebelius, released a letter to the state governors granting an extension on the deadline for submitting "blueprint" plans for the establishment of health insurance exchanges (HIE), as established in the patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010. The letter also informed governors that grant funding is now available to assist with establishing an HIE.
