Binghamton University Awarded $4.5 Million Grant To Expand Community School-Based Mental Health Services
The U.S. Department of Education awarded Binghamton University Community Schools (BUCS) a five-year grant, valued at more than $4.5 million, to expand school-based mental health services in Chenango County, New York as part of its Mental Health Service Provider Demonstration Grant Program. The county has been designated a Health Professional Shortage Area for both primary care and mental health. BUCS anticipates launching the grant initiative in 2025.
