Clinical And Economic Outcomes Of The Texas Medicaid Medication Therapy Management Pilot

This is an interim program report for the Texas Health and Human Services Commission about the outcomes of a Medicaid Medication Therapy Management pilot program after its first five months in operation. The MTM pilot program involves adult Medicaid beneficiaries with hypertension and who were at least four maintenance medications. In addition to calculating estimated cost savings, the report notes enrollment and pharmacist participation statistics, the patient needs that precipitated the MTM intervention, what interventions were made, and the outcome of those interventions.
