Readiness Review Letter To Medicare-Medicaid Plans From CMS

On November 28, 2012, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released a letter to Medicare-Medicaid Plans (MMPs) on the subject of readiness reviews as part of the Medicare-Medicaid Capitated Financial Alignment Demonstration. State readiness review tools are to address key areas that directly impact a beneficiary’s ability to receive services including, but not limited to: assessment processes, care coordination, provider network, staffing, and systems to ensure that the organization has the capacity to handle the increase in enrollment of the complex and heterogeneous Medicare-Medicaid enrollee population.
