On September 19, 2013, the federal Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) awarded Health Net Federal Services LLC and Triwest Healthcare Alliance Corporation contracts for the VA's Patient Centered Community Care (PC3) initiative. The contractors will establish nationwide provider networks of community-based mental health provider organizations and other civilian medical specialists to serve veterans when the local VA Medical Center (VAMC) cannot readily provide the services.
