December 12, 2012
On December 12, 2012, the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) approved Ohio’s plans for an Integrated Care Delivery System (ICDS) for people eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid. ICDS enrollment is slated to begin in 29 counties on September 1, 2013. The ICDS will provide a single point of contact for all beneficiaries and use managed care to improve care coordination for approximately 114,000 dual eligibles. Ohio’s proposal is the third to be approved by CMS.
