State Regulations on Chemical Dependency Programs and Counselors: An Overview
In December 2012, the National Association of State Alcohol and Drug Abuse Directors (NASADAD) released a report on state regulations for chemical dependency treatment. The report discusses the role of the Single State Agency (SSA) in licensing and regulating programs. The report also compares the individual states on the ways they monitor the chemical dependency treatment system.
