In December 2011, Ohio State Bill 264 was adopted establishing quality incentive payments and quality bonuses paid to nursing facilities under the Medicaid program. The pay-for-performance program targeting nursing homes links 9.7% of the Medicaid daily rate to meeting quality measures for resident safety, facility staffing rates, and resident satisfaction with the level of care.
