Researchers Developing Mobile Resource Navigation Tool For Friends & Family Of People With Opioid Use Disorder

Researchers at Wayne State University and the University of Michigan are developing a mobile resource navigation intervention for friends and family members of people with opioid use disorder (OUD). The intervention provides education and tools for concerned caregivers via daily text messages over two-to-four weeks about best practices for supporting a loved one with an addiction disorder.

The researchers plan to launch a five-year study, which had earlier been selected for funding by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for Injury Prevention and Control. The study is called “Developing and Evaluating . . .
