CMS Rebrands Medicare Advantage Health Equity Index Reward Program As ‘Excellent Health Outcomes For All’
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is updating the Medicare Advantage Health Equity Index reward to rename it the Excellent Health Outcomes for All (EHO4all) reward. This is according to the 2026 final-rate notice for Medicare Advantage capitation rates and Part C and Part D payment policies. CMS believes the new name better captures the goal of ensuring exceptional care for all enrollees. EHO4all will be implemented beginning with the 2027 Star Ratings.
The Health Equity Index was introduced in the 2024 final rule for Parts C and D to incentivize Medicare Advantage and Part D plans . . .
