Laurie Kalmanson brings over 25 years of experience in health care marketing and communications for technology solutions and consumer products to the OPEN MINDS team. She is an expert at driving brand awareness, optimizing client and customer engagement, and creating competitive intelligence assets.
Prior to joining OPEN MINDS, Ms. Kalmanson served as a Senior Segment Marketing Manager and GTM Leader at Qualifacts. In this role, she led cross-team and cross-platform go-to-market collaborations – defining strategic positioning of the brand’s voice and implementing across communication channels. She was also responsible for monitoring market intelligence policy updates from thought leadership partners and incorporating these in marketing strategy.
Before this position, Ms. Kalmanson also served as Qualifacts’ Product Marketing Manager, and UX Lead for enterprise EHR. Her work in these roles included discovering user needs, validating the user experience, and usability testing for mobile solutions, enterprise applications, and websites. She also was responsible for content strategy, partnering across teams to discover customer success stories, and communicating the product value of new releases and existing capabilities across customers and prospects. As part of her responsibilities, Ms. Kalmanson performed competitive intelligence analysis, executed win/loss interviews, and created and managed battle cards to inform sales and marketing strategic initiatives.
Prior to joining Qualifacts, Ms. Kalmanson was a Consultant for Clickfire Media. In this role, Ms. Kalmanson worked extensively with UX strategies and developed IA categorization and workflows for online lead generation and demand generation vehicles for B2B and B2C digital marketing vehicles.
Before this, she was a User Experience Lead at Request Marketing. Here, she partnered with c-level managers, teams, startups, and agencies to create wireframes, storyboards, site maps, user narratives, personas, user paths, workflows and requirements. She also developed content strategies and led online fundraising and email marketing initiatives.
Ms. Kalmanson also served as a UX, IA, and Social Media Consultant at The Climate Reality Project, where she was responsible for engagement architecture, including user experience, information architecture, social media, viral promotions, email marketing, and online fundraising. Ms. Kalmanson developed extensive expertise in UX and IA through her work at other organizations prior to these roles.
Ms. Kalmanson earned her BA from Binghamton University and her MPP from the University of Chicago.
