Northwell Health & Nuvance Health Complete Merger To Become A $23 Billion, 28-Hospital System
Northwell Health and Nuvance Health announced the completion of their previously disclosed merger to become an integrated regional health system with 28 hospitals and a $23 billion operating budget. The system will serve communities in greater New York and Connecticut, a population of 13 million.
In addition to the 28 hospitals, the integrated system encompasses more than 1,050 ambulatory care and 73 urgent care locations. The system also includes the Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research, Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, and the Hofstra Northwell School of Nursing and Physician Assistant Studies.
