Southern Illinois University-Carbondale To Consolidate Four Public Behavioral Health Programs Into One Hub Location

The Southern Illinois University (SIU) Carbondale campus College of Health and Human Sciences (CHHS) plans to consolidate four behavioral health programs into a single hub location tentatively called the Community Care and Education Center (CCEC). The new center would include the Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders, the Evaluation and Developmental Center, the Clinical Center, and Project 12-Ways, all of which are currently housed in a variety of locations across campus and beyond. The goal is to provide optimal care for consumers, educate university students seeking to become clinical professionals, and facilitate research.
